An unexplained rating is just decoration. Ours works like a woodstove inspection: five embers for an offer whose conditions burn clean, fewer for every draft the fine print lets in. Here is the whole method, so you can re-run any rating yourself.
Where every offer starts
In short: at five embers, with deductions from there.
Each offer begins at a full hearth — 5.0 — and loses tenths as its conditions add cost or friction. Nothing adds embers except lighter conditions. Commissions, partnerships and seasonal moods add and subtract exactly nothing.
What takes embers away

Reading the hearth
- 4.5–5.0 — conditions a slow reader calls fair; take the offer for what it says it is.
- 3.8–4.4 — sound, with one heavy log to respect before signing.
- 3.0–3.7 — the headline promises more warmth than the fine print delivers.
- Below 3.0 — conditions that defeat the offer's purpose. We'll say so without euphemism.
What embers never measure
In short: your luck. That isn't reviewable.
No rating here predicts a win, dents the house edge, or nominates an offer as "worth chasing." Most bonus play ends at a net loss — that is the price of the entertainment, printed honestly. Embers grade how truthfully an offer is priced, and stop there.
Sources, and when we look again
Conditions come from the operator's published terms; licences from the registries of the MGA, AGCO and AGLC. Every page carries its last-verified date and rejoins the verification rotation on schedule. Between our visits, the operator's live terms outrank this journal — no exceptions.
