Reading this site forms an agreement between you and Rough Odds ("Rough Odds", "we"). These are its terms — shorter than a bonus policy, and written to the same standard of honesty we demand of those.

What this site is, and is not

In short: a journal about gambling, never a place to gamble.

Rough Odds publishes reviews and analysis. It accepts no wagers, opens no player accounts, holds no player funds and pays no winnings. Whatever gambling relationship you enter with an operator is yours and theirs alone.

Who it's written for

Adults of legal gambling age in their Canadian province — nineteen, or eighteen in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. It is not directed at residents of Ontario, nor at any reader somewhere that forbids gambling information. If either describes you, please close the book here.

Accuracy, and where it ends

We verify against registries and published terms and date-stamp every check — and still, operators change terms without notice. Their live text always outranks our account of it. Nothing here is financial, legal or tax advice, and nothing here implies a gambling outcome can be relied upon. Losing is the product's ordinary behaviour.

The commercial thread

Referral links may earn us commissions, as the banner on every page declares and How we earn details. The rating method is fenced off from that revenue by design.

Whose words these are

The text, ratings, method, name and design of Rough Odds belong to Rough Odds or its licensors. Quote a passage with attribution and a link, and welcome; republish wholesale or dress our ratings as your own, and not. Third-party marks — those of 888, TonyBet and Betty among them — belong to their owners and imply no endorsement of this journal.

The limits of our liability

The site is offered "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties and accept no liability for reliance on the content, for gambling losses, for third-party services, or for interruptions — except where consumer law says such limits cannot stand.

Amendments, law and forum

Revised terms take the date above, with material changes flagged here for thirty days first. The agreement answers to the laws of Alberta and applicable federal law, in Alberta's courts — subject to any mandatory right you hold to sue at home. Questions: [email protected].
